Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 22, 2026

Short version: the bill and EOB numbers you type into EOBCheck stay on your device. We don't have a server that receives or stores them.

1. Who we are

[Your Business Name] ("EOBCheck," "we," "us") operates the EOBCheck website and tool at [eobcheck.online] (the "Service"). This policy explains what information the Service collects and how it's used.

2. Information we do not collect

Bill amounts, EOB figures, provider names, patient names, and any other values you enter into the reconciliation tool are processed entirely in your browser using JavaScript. They are never transmitted to, or stored on, any server we operate. There is no backend database behind the free reconciliation tool.

3. Local browser storage

The Service uses your browser's local storage to save your in-progress entries so you don't lose your work if you close the tab or reopen the app later. This data stays on your device. You can clear it at any time using the "Start a new bill" button in the app, or by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.

4. Cookies

The Service does not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. Local storage, described above, is used only for the app's own functionality.

5. Payment information (paid tiers)

Paid tiers are not yet available. When enabled, purchases will be processed by a third-party payment processor and merchant of record (to be named on this page before checkout goes live). That processor will collect and handle your payment details directly under its own privacy policy; we do not receive or store full card numbers.

6. Hosting and technical data

Our hosting provider may log standard technical data (such as IP address, browser type, and request timestamps) as part of ordinary web server operation. This is separate from, and unrelated to, the bill/EOB data described in Section 2.

7. Analytics

The Service does not currently use analytics or tracking scripts. If that changes, this policy will be updated first to disclose what is collected and why.

8. Children's privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Your rights

Because bill/EOB data isn't stored on our servers, there is nothing on our end to access, export, or delete beyond what already exists in your own browser. For requests related to payment data, once paid tiers are live, contact us and we will route the request to our payment processor as needed.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
